Carrie was King’s first book, so it might not be as good as his later works but still it manages to scare readers like me! I have yet to read The Shining…

I usually loved King’s earlier stuff, but I was very disappointed with Carrie. (Review here http://thepaperbackstash.blogspot.com/search?q=carrie)
Something about it just irritated me. Loved Firestarter, The Shining, Pet Semetary, etc though
