i really lovee..a walk to remember..!! every time that I read the book or T watch the movie I cry!! lol…!! nicholas sparks…it’s great!!!…I havent read message in the bottle yet..but im sure that is as great as the other novel he wrote…!!

Oh, The Da Vinci Code movie was quite boring for me and my friend actually fell asleep during the movie! I preferred the book.

I watched the movie but didn’t get to read the book. I wonder if reading it will make me cry as well

As for the case of movies not following the book, you’re right with it. It’s impossible to follow what was written in the book through and through otherwise it will make the movie very very long. An example of a movie that I watched where I read the book ahead of it is the “Da Vinci Code”

Actually, I prefer to watch a movie before reading the book based on it. Like Harry Potter, for example. When the first movie came out, I was quite upset that it didn’t follow the book thoroughly. Later only did I realize that it’s impossible for the movie to follow the book closely. If it were to follow everything in the book, then it’s going to be a very loooonnnnnngggggg show!

This is the only Nicholas Sparks book that I’ve read. Oh, I’ve watched the movie ‘Message In A Bottle’ too. So, I know at least 2 of Sparks’ stories. =D

I don’t normally do this but I did the reverse for “A Walk to Remember”. I watched the movie first and then I read the book. I was weeping and moping my face by the time it’s over. The book had me crying buckets too. It’s just too sad. But he’s a great writer.

Erin: Don’t worry! This was my first Sparks book too. Haha! Maybe one day if you’re feeling adventurous, then you could give his book(s) a try. Have fun reading!

I think I’m the only one who hasn’t read Sparks yet! Something about him turns me away but I haven’t given him a fair chance yet. I’ve decided to in the very near future, I’ll let you know what I think.
