Michaela: You said it! Reading it a second or third or fourth time wouldn’t be anything like reading it for the first time. The experience would be so different because we already know what’s going to happen.

I was really sad too when I knew that Lupin and Tonks died. Lupin was one of my favourite characters in the books and also in the movies.

Well, have you bought Tales of Beedle the Bard? I haven’t yet. I might only get it next year!

I’m sooo sad that the harry potter books are over i LOVED the whole book (my fav bit was from chapter: the battle of hogwarts onwards to the end) The deaths of Lupin, tonks, snape and fred were really sad too.
Though i can read the books again it won’t be as good as the first time…

@ Kasey: Hi Kasey, I loved it too! I loved all the seven books, in fact. Wow, you’re a true HP fan…at least you read the book the day it was released. It was sad for me too when I finally finished Book 7…

I loved Book 7. I went to a midnight release and read pretty much until I was finished. And I cried. And cried. And cried some more. I was so sad that it was over, but I thought that JK Rowling did an excellent job of tying up the series.

@ Nari: The Goblet of Fire was certainly exciting. In fact, I can’t really choose a favourite, they’re all amazing to me! True, things got really serious starting from Book 4. That’s the time when Voldemort became stronger and more powerful. Harry and his friends were getting older too so they had to deal with more problems. Oh yeah, I’ll surely reread the books over and over too!

@ tanabata: Thank you! I’ll definitely link to your review too. Yes, I cannot wait for the movies to come out! July 2009 feels like a really long time. Now that I’ve finished the series, I’m watching the 5 movies all over again. I’m in the middle of a Harry Potter obsession for now.

I’m sad that the series is over too, but I’m looking forward to reading Tales of Beetle the Bard when it comes out in December and we still have 2 movies to look forward to.

I loved the Harry Potter books. The Goblet of Fire is my absolute favorite though. I think the three before were definitely more innocent, and its really in number 4 where the series takes on a much darker tone. I was sad when I finished the book, but I felt like Rowling wrapped things up a little too neatly. But at least I can keep rereading the series whenever I want and not have to wait years before my hands on the next book.
